Here's what we did today: In grade 9 we defined ecosystems, wrote a note about food chains and webs, played a food chain game outside and then drew and analyzed a food web. You don't have homework. In grade 10 we finished taking up the practice quiz, did a refraction lab and then learned about snell's law. Your homework is to finish the snell's law practice sheet. In enviro we did a short note about greenhouse gas emissions, calculated our carbon footprint and then did a worksheet on the computers about the PEI wind-hydrogen village. You don't have homework.

Tuesday May 8

Here's what we did today: In grade 9 (SNC 1D4) we discussed the big bang theory, took a note about identifying different gases and then did the gas testing lab. Your homework is to study for Friday's test. In grade 10 (SNC 2D) we continued the work on the concave mirror drawings while doing little activities in between. You don't have homework. In enviro(SVN 3M) we spend the period working on a cost-benefit analysis of different types of electricity. You don't have homework.

Monday May 7

Here's what we did on monday: In grade 9 (SNC 1D4) we reviewed friday's video and then did research on the big bang for the rest of the period. In grade 10 (SNC 2D) we did the images in a plane mirror note and practice and then started the activities/note about concave mirrors. In enviro (SVN 3M) we finished the renewable resources group activity and finished our work on the electricity usage in school action plans.

Friday May 4

Here's what we did on Friday: In grade 9 (SNC 1D4) we did a journal to review what we learned about the sun, took up the galaxy sheet, did a galaxy sorting activity and then watched a video called "star stuff". In grade 10 (SNC 2D) we did the "tell them from me" survey and then did a plane mirror investigation. In SVN 3M we discussed non-renewable resources and did a group activity about renewable resources.

Thursday May 3

I've been busy and forgot Here's what we did on Thursday May 3 In grade 9 (SNC 1D4) we looked at images of the different stages of the star life cycle and then did a journal to practice the star lifecycle. We then did a worksheet about the sun, took it up and did a worksheet about galaxies. In grade 10 (SNC 2D) we watched youtube videos to review light sources, did a triboluminescence activity and started a note about reflection. In enviro (SVN 3M) we defined renewable and non-renewable resources and then did research about non-renewable resources on the computer.

Wednesday May 2

Here's what you did today: In SNC 1D4 and SNC 2D we went to town hall. In SVN 3M you had time to work on your waste inquiry and then we started the school energy audit in groups. Nobody has homework for science.

Tuesday May 1

Here's what you did on Tuesday: In SNC 1D4 we finished and took up the light from stars worksheet and then did a star life cycle activity. Your homework is to make sure your project is done for tomorrow. In SNC 2D you worked on a reading sheet about the different sources of light. You don't have homework. In SVN 3M we did the "tell them from me survey" and then did a reflection activity about the landfill field trip.
